WordPress TrackBack and Pinging
Since today I wasn’t absolutelly sure how does TrackBack and Pinging work with WordPress blog. I searched over the internet and fount a great tutorial about wordpress “trackback function”. As I understand it is a great way to let other web blogs know you have a similar article on your blog and in article you link to him and he links to you. Great way of creating backlinks and also building relationships with other blogs.
The trackback tutorial is written by Teli Adlam and is a great resource you can use. Right now I will test trackBack function on his tutorial – let’s see if it really works as the article he wrote.

Thanks for sharing,indeed a really nice tutorial,until recently i thought that only wordpress blogs can send trackbacks but i have received some from several forums where i posted my links..

Trackback is a great way to get related backlinks quickly from new contents. I always get 10-20 trackbacks for each blog post made on my blog.

You can get trackbacks from just about any major cms/forum/publishing platform.. another good method to try is strategically pinging the trackbacks (when they’re from higher ranked sites)…an quick and easy tool is the PingNinja.. it’s just a free online pinger

Tracking is a quick and easy way to get related site backlinks. I have noticed a lot of blogs does that recently. It should be working as most of the blogs have good pagerank and nice Alexa ranking too.
