Few days ago I got an email from “CKY-guy” and he was wondering about sendmail and perl mail script under windows. He asked me a few questions about it so I tought it would be interesting to post it on my blog. Questons were about does sendmail work in windows and apache for windows, does it work on windows server …
1 do you have to use iis?
No – IIS and apache can be used (but it must be in windows enviroment since sendmail.exe is for windows os).
2 how do you call it from a perl script?
You can look at example perl script for sending mail at sendmail for windows velikan webpage.
3 will it run in windows server inverment?
Yes – it works in windows xp, windows server 2003, windows server 2000, vista (haven’t tested it but i think it will also work).
Huh. I didn’t know you could use it under IIS.
Thank you for the perl script example. I was working on a sendmail project and you have just answered my questions, lol. Thanks!
I was debating about whether to develop my own script or use an off-the-shelf application and you cleared up some questions for me to decide on creating my own custom script. There’s so many nicer features I can add with my own script. Thanks for the details.

Great experience lol and thank for sharing.
Great post. You make things easier. Thanks.
It is so easy, I was finding it for a long time.
I never thought this is possible
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing
Great plugin! I will try it on some blogs I have. It would be great if it could be able to create more than one list. I will try to integrate it sloppy with paypal, but it would be nice to have an official version of the plugin with paypal, right? Thanks
The time is wrong on my emails sent by php sendmail script?
I’ve tried the plugin, and it’s cool, but as it’s just said, the time is wrong on the emails?
how can I fix it?
